PayWise AI Android Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Android version of PayWise AI. PayWise AI is a budgeting and debt planning tool that helps users manually track debts, payments, reminders, and payoff estimates.

Information stored by the app

PayWise AI stores the information you enter on your device using Android local storage technologies, including Room and DataStore. This may include debt names, categories, balances, original amounts, payment records, due dates, notes, reminder settings, language settings, currency settings, and local Premium entitlement cache.

No account and no server sync

PayWise AI for Android does not require an account. The app does not provide server sync, cloud backup, or account-based data storage for your debt and payment records.

No external AI API

The Android app does not send your debt information to an external AI service. The AI Advisor feature uses local repayment calculations, including debt avalanche and debt snowball style estimates, on your device.

Google Play Billing

Premium subscriptions and lifetime access are processed through Google Play Billing. Google handles payment processing, receipts, payment methods, subscription cancellation, and refund flows according to Google Play policies. PayWise AI stores only local entitlement state needed to unlock Premium features after Google Play reports an active purchase.

Notifications

If you enable reminders and grant notification permission, PayWise AI uses local notifications for repayment reminders. Notifications are scheduled locally on your device and are not used for advertising, tracking, or server messaging.

Data sharing and sale

PayWise AI does not sell your data. The Android app does not share your manually entered debt or payment records with advertisers, data brokers, or external analytics services.

Internet and third-party services

The current Android app does not declare the Android Internet permission and does not sync your debt records to a PayWise server. Google Play services may be involved when you use Google Play Billing or install/update the app through Google Play.

Deleting your data

You can delete debts and related payment records inside the app. You can also remove local app data by uninstalling PayWise AI or clearing app storage from Android system settings. Because PayWise AI does not maintain an account server for Android debt data, there is no separate server-side deletion request for debt records.

Security

Your PayWise AI debt and payment records are stored locally on your device. Device-level protections, such as your lock screen and Android system security, help protect local app data. Avoid entering sensitive information that you do not want stored on your device.

Children

PayWise AI is not intended for children and is designed for personal budgeting and debt organization by users who are able to manage their own financial information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as PayWise AI changes. Material updates should be reflected on this page before or when the related Android app update is released.
