FinishBoard is a local-first workspace for comparing physical finish samples, preserving revision decisions, and tracing production back to an exact frozen reference.

Common questions

Does FinishBoard require an account?

No. The current iOS build has no account, login, or cloud-sync service.

Where is my board data stored?

Boards, revisions, checksums, production references, and managed media are stored locally on the device. FinishBoard can export a versioned backup to a location you choose.

What does Approved & Frozen mean?

It identifies a revision whose decision snapshot and checksum are preserved for production reference. It is a workflow record, not a guarantee about a supplier, material, or finished product.

How do I verify a backup?

Use Export Backup to create a local file, Preview Import to validate its contents, and Restore only after reviewing the preview. Keep an independent copy of any backup you need to retain.

Limitations

The current v1.0 scope does not include accounts, collaboration, remote upload, AI services, analytics, advertising, or cloud disaster recovery.
